"You shouldn't be here," he said in a hoarse voice as he tried to pull away from Elisha's touch. He didn't want this lie. He didn't want this untruth to pull at him more, he was already drowning. Didn't they see that? Didn't they understand that?

"I don't know, I don't what you want from me. And I can't do this any more," he said after a long silence, the empty feeling in his heart seizing. It was as though long fingers reaching through his chest and latched around his heart; twisting it, squeezing it. Tighter, crushing it without mercy.
