He wouldn't minimize the effort. It had been hard, and neither of them knew what they were doing, really. Elisha was operating based on the ways his own therapist had told him to deal with himself and a little by doing the opposite of what he'd done when it had been his mother. But it was hard, and sometimes he wanted to snap instead of being so infinitely patient. It was only that he knew that Hadyn was trying too that kept him from doing it really.
