Names for characters

Baby Names World - A great resource for roleplay names. As well as names, it also gives meanings and origins, so if you're looking for something specific, it's worth a look.

The Name Generator - If you're looking for an certain types of name for one of your character, this resource has several pages linked for such purposes.

Roleplay Names Generator - Randomly generates 50 names. You have the option to be serious, funny, fantasy based, and several others. Sometimes it is just fun to see what you come up with.

Icons/Character PBs

find_a_pb - Got a character in mind but can't think of someone to play them? This community is for you. Describe the basic outline of your character, any specifics (if you want someone with dark hair and blue eyes, for example) and other members will suggest people to you.

find_icons - Have a PB in mind, but can't seem to find icons (or the right icons) for the character? Try this community! Just look though the tags, and if you still don't see what you are looking for just make a request post. Someone might offer to make you some, or they know of a secret stash of gold.

pb_updates - Another good place to find possible PBs. Just scroll through the mega list and who knows what you might find.

embargo - Much like

pb_updates, you can search by actors or by specific features such as hair. Have to join before you can see the full listing, but it is open membership.

pbsbyariel - A small list, but good base icons. Well worth a look, particularly if you are looking for faces less mainstream. Also check out her Insanejournal, which has the same name.

sodamaged - Another small but growing source for icons. She takes request, and as long as you can provide her with resources, she's usually willing to do some work. If you ask nicely. (She also has an IJ account:

sodamaged_icons)

Hollow Art - Former Livejournal-based icon community that has gone web-based! Use the tags to navigate, though dialup users beware! The list is very long and takes many prisoners.

nodamnorder - If all else fails, try No Damn Order. Stock icons are made by request, even non-stock icons can be requested. And to top it off, request are easily made as the community run by one of the

houseofcards_rp players. Just drop her a line there with how soon you need them, and she'll get back to you right away.

Coding/Layouts/Profiles/Anything else

rp_tutorials - This is a wonderful resource for just about anything RP wise. Be it profile layouts, tables, or color guides. These guys have it all just about covered, and if they don't? Ask! Everyone there is friendly and welcoming.
